Municipal Railway System

Published by jodapoet at 10:10 am under San Francisco, Travel Edit This

When I take my walks I always have my camera with me which also takes video.  I’m not the greatest videographer and neither does my camera shoot quality video but it gets the basic job done.  So, while walking home from the beach one day I thought I’d snap my chosen mode of transportation.

The video is of the L Taraval streetcar which runs in my neighborhood from the Zoo to the Embarcadero.  Our MUNI system has several different streetcar lines that cover various neighborhoods with the end of the line being the embarcadero.  We also have hundreds of bus lines as well.  MUNI services all of San Francisco and is for the most part on time and quick.  It has it’s moments though.  During rush hours from about 7 to 9 in the morning and 5 to 7 in the evening it can be a long wait.  I do complain about the service but all in all it is efficient.
