Today I’d like to introduce all of you to a dear friend of whom I’ve known for about 10 years now.  I met Raven aka Hrair and his family in San Francisco while working at Ghirardelli Square.   He’s the kind of person who when you meet him there is an instant connection.  He has a infectious personality.  He is a passionate musician who’s music can envelop you and take you through time and place.  He plays the flute like know one I have ever heard.  His band consists of some top notch players to include Jeff Chin who is incredible on keyboards.  He is an artist in the true sense of the word.  His music and his family are his passions and he lives and breathes them.

His latest CD Raven 345s was just released and is one of his best.  When I listen to the music on this cd I am taken to places I’ve never been.  These songs will literally hypnotize, mesmerize and have you traveling on soulful journeys of peace and tranquility.  One of my favorites is “Raven in the Storm.”  The music is haunting, in a good way.  “To My Father” is beautiful and “Children Of The Last Forest” exquisite with its’ beats.  My friend loves music which is evident in all of his tunes.  You can find out more about him at http://www.ravenfx.com and his myspace page at http://www.myspace.com/raveninthestorm
