Flamingos

Published by jodapoet at 11:03 am under Leisure, Nature, San Francisco, Travel Edit This

First let me say that my video camera is not of the highest quality yet I do go around shooting video of people, places and things that amuse me.  While at the San Francisco zoo I snapped this video of the flamingo island.  It was one of those overcast foggy days out here in the sunset district and I found it very entertaining to watch these beautiful creatures play on the island.  Although the video does not show it, each bird is marked with a number so as to keep track of who they are and who has adopted them.  The zoo has an adopt an animal program to help with the feeding and upkeep of the animals and their surroundings.  One thing I really enjoy since the renovation of the zoo is that you are able to get up close and personal with the animals.  I go there at least once a month to visit my favorites.  Enjoy the flamingos.
