My City By The Bay

We have been having unseasonably warm beautiful weather here in San Francisco over the past week.  No fog, which is unusual, highs in the 70’s and 80’s with clear blue skies. While watching the weather on the news in the evenings I had seen some beautiful sunsets and thought to myself I should share some with you.  I’ve lived in SF all my life and been to the beach thousands of times yet realized I had never taken photos of one of our sunsets - unbelievable!  So, I took a jaunt down to the beach last night and snapped some photos for you.  I also took a video however it was terrible quality for some reason and I don’t have video editing software so I just deleted it.  It was not good enough to post here.  I will however try again at some point.

Being the bird lover that I am I of course had to snap this shot while they were playing in the water.  They were the smaller version of me.  They would walk out as far as they could and when the waves began rushing to the shore they would run so as not to get wet.  It was adorable to watch and I realized I was doing the same thing.  There were many families picnicking along the beach yesterday as well as people walking their dogs.  I hadn’t seen the beach so crowded in a long time.I’ve always loved dusk.  There is exhilaration and a sense of accomplishment at day’s end.  The colors so smoothly meld into the sky and the quiet ebb and flow refresh the sands.  One of my favorite places to just relax and be me.

There were a few surfers out there as well.  So, I waited until this surfer was in view and snapped the shot.  There is something just really cool about seeing a surfer along the shore with the sun setting.
