Comprised of San Francisco’s own jazz sensation Sony Holland and award winning songwriter/composer Jerry Holland this jazzy duo travels the Bay Area and points beyond dazzling crowds with classics from the Great American Songbook and timeless originals written and composed by Jerry Holland.

As a songwriter Jerry penned and composed the Grammy award winning song “Friends” by John Michael Montgomery as well as tunes for many other artists to include Reba McIntyre and Sony Holland.  His lyrical expertise is evident not only on Sony Holland’s latest CD titled Swing Bossas Ballads & Blues but her earlier recordings to include Out Of This World and On A San Francisco High which includes a tribute song to San Francisco of the same name.  As a guitarist he employs the unique ability to simply make his guitar sing in accompaniment with Sony Holland.  His Latins sizzle and his standards bedazzle. A strumming genius.

“A decidedly modern jazz diva” as stated  by Jane Ganahl, SF Chronicle, Sony Holland has made quite the name for herself in San Francisco and beyond.  She has played to sold out houses at Yoshi’s in both San Francisco and Oakland, The Blue Note in New York, Catalina Club in West Hollywood and the Rrazz Room in San Francisco just to name a few.  She is a favorite of many of the local jazz festivals as well, to include The San Jose jazz festival, The San Francisco jazz festival and The Fillmore jazz festival etc…  She is a regular performer for the Richmond Ermet Aids Foundation here in San Francisco as well as the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society annual cureathon.  She has toured extensively in Asia at the InterContinental Hotel in Hong Kong, The New York Bar in Tokyo and The Lebua Hotel in Thailand.Ms. Holland’s vocal eloquence and unique sound is captivating and as such she has gained quite the following.  Loyal fans follow her performances around the Bay Area and across the world.  Her CD’s are being played on radio stations worldwide.  Sony has the ability to mesmerize you with her stirring and passionate performances.  Whether a Cole Porter classic or a Jerry Holland bluesy gem she ebbs and flows with every note, makes each song her own with a fluidity unmatched.  To hear and see her perform is to be in the presence of greatness.
