Down Under in San Francisco

At the San Francisco zoo, this guy has the life. The koalas are exhibited - I hate using that word to describe animals, behind glass. There is a small wooden footbridge and viewing area which on the other side is a natural oasis for these cuties to frolic. I’ve only a few times seen them amongst the greenery and trees. They are usually hanging out as you see above. When I was there snapping this photo I had to laugh because there were dozens of people doing the same. I felt like the paparazzi at a red carpet event. However this little guy didn’t mind. He hung there posing for quite some time. They are so cute. They look sleepy all the time which I wonder about because all they do is hang out, eat and sleep. What a life huh?

So cute!
You inspired me to do a SF Zoo post on my “free in” blog — though somehow mine took a darker turn at the end. Oh, well.
Congrats on your new photo blog!

Am I right to say while we are looking at the animal, itself also look at us in return? We know what we are thinking, but it is always an unknown end to what is inside its brain.
msterri - thanks, I couldn’t find that post on your blog. Can you send me the link?
Anon - Exactly and thanks for taking the time to comment.
AVC - I forgot about that commercial - you’re right. As for the pole, I wonder how pole dancers hold on
