Dancing With The Star’s own Cheryl Burke, who is from the Bay Area has just opened her dance studio - The Cheryl Burke Dance Studio in San Francisco. This 24 year old, two time Dancing With The Stars champion began dancing professionally at age 11 after years of ballet when she was a very young child. She has been dancing ever since.
The photo above captures Cheryl dancing in her studio for a group of children on a field trip. I have as yet to visit the studio but hope to very soon at which time I will have some photos and video.
Dancing With The Stars is my one and only favorite reality show. Cheryl is my favorite professional on that show. While she dances, you can see that not only is she extremely skilled at what she does but she is passionate about her dancing as well. You can see it in her eyes as she glides across the dance floor. To be that talented at her young age is amazing to me. She has won numerous awards and is currently on a Dancing With The Stars tour to include a couple of Bay Area performances.
She has recently opened the Cheryl Burke Dance studio which hosts dance lessons, special events and parties including a New Year’s Eve event. Although she has a busy schedule her dance studio is always alive with music and performances. I do ballroom and latin american myself and just came back from the Australian nationals in Melbourne. Its a demanding sport when you see the World Latin stars which we saw in Melbourne you realise how good some of these people are!
