Free Activities in San Francisco

Published by jodapoet at 10:29 am under San Francisco, Travel Edit This

San Francisco is one of the top tourist destinations in the world.  Although it is claimed to be one of the most expensive places to live and visit, that really is not the case.  I am proof positive.  As a starving writer, well, maybe not starving but a little hungry,  I can tell you that I am just fine living and working here.  I also wanted to point out that there are so many free things to do in this city.  I have a friend and fellow blogger who writes a “Free Things To Do In San Francisco ” blog.  She covers everything from museums, art events, library readings to information about free days in which you can visit some of the hot attractions.  She’s reported on some events that I had not even heard about so she knows her city by the bay very well.  Check her out at FREE In SF.

I love San Francisco, I love that the city is so close to the places in CA I love the most, Big Sur, Point Reyes and driving further up North the coast is so wild I feel like I am transported to a far away land. That is one thing I appreciate about California for maintaining that very long sretch of coastal wilderness in the north, it is a place like no other. And SF city itself, walking around there makes me thinks who needs a work-out in the gym? And you can go around without having to drive. And it is so alive, and so inviting.

Hi Joda. Thanks so much! I wrote you a note, responding to yours, in the comments section of my blog. In case you didn’t see it, this is what I wrote –>

Hi, Joda! Thanks so much for that awesome write-up! I urge everyone reading this to check out Joda’s blog, which has wonderful photographs and descriptions of many of the best things that SF has to offer. We have very similar tastes in what we like to do!

I don’t think that the baby gorilla has been named yet. Maybe the zoo will have a naming contest? I seem to remember them doing something like that before.

Betchai - There’s nothing more beautiful than traveling that coastline. I also love big sur too.

Msterri: Thanks so much. We do have similar tastes,

    Happy Holidays to you both.
