Pier 39 hosts dozens of restaurants within it’s complex.  Your dining experience can range from a corn dog at the kiosk to a burger and fries at The Hard Rock Cafe to a scrumptious crab dinner at Neptune’s Palace or a rich and filling pasta dish at Swiss Louis.  There are many choices to whet the appetite and soothe the palate.

Our resident sea lions are the premier attraction and have become more popular than any red carpet event in the city.  Yet, all they do is eat, sleep, play and pose for photos.  What a life huh?

Pier 39 offers many discounts and coupons for their restaurants, attractions and shops.  You can visit The Free Fun Pack Page and print out the coupon for your next visit to Pier 39.  All you need to do is bring the printed coupon to the California Welcome Center on the 2nd level of the pier and you will be given a book of discounts to use while there.

Tulipmania

From February eleventh through the sixteenth the tulips are in bloom at Pier 39.  There will be free guided tours leaving from the entrance plaza on Beach Street along the Embarcadero each day at 10:00 am.  You can tour both levels of Pier 39 in addition to the waterfront parks surrounding the Pier.  All of the tours end at the California Wine Bar for an early “happy hour.”  Various merchants at Pier 39 are also offering sales on selected merchandise.

Of course you don’t need to take the free tour but rather tour the area on your own.  Baskets of blooming tulips as well as freshly planted flowers adorn the nooks and crannies in the entire area.

The Hard Rock Cafe is offering a  special of a three course prix fixe menu and a Tulip Hard Rock Cafe collector’s pin all for $35.00.  Twenty percent will benefit the Conservatory of Flowers.

February is in bloom at the pier so check it out and enjoy the savings.
