This City Is Mine - A Tribute Video To New York City

It was a little over six years ago and I was working at Ghirardelli Square when I heard this smooth and sultry voice singing this song called “This City Is Mine.” The voice, music and lyrics had me mesmerized. I instantly fell in love with this beautifully written tribute to New York City penned by songwriter/composer Jerry Holland. As a result when Sony had finished performing I went out and bought two of her CD’s. The rest is history.
If you listen closely to this song you can feel the emotion flow through the words. With such meaningful lyrics so eloquently delivered by Sony this song was destined to be a hit - and it is. The fans love this tune. Here are a few lines from the song:

As a writer I’ve always wished I could pen a love song or poem to San Francisco with the same charm and passion as Jerry Holland has to his hometown of New York City. To have the opportunity to see both Sony and Jerry Holland perform this song together is truly special. I tear up every time I hear this song and I’ve never even traveled to New York.
