Today.com Targeted Advertising At Affordable Prices

Whether you own a business, corporation, a mom and pop grocery store or you just want to boost your readership on your personal blog, targeted advertising is the key to success.  With ad packages starting at $4.99 for prominent home page impressions you can’t go wrong.

The blogs within the Today.com community are an eclectic mix of hundreds of topics.  Whatever it is you are looking to read you will find your topic of choice with Today.com.

Advertise on Today.com

You will find over one hundred thousand ad spots available at different sizes and locations.  Some are listed above the fold and some between blog posts.  There is an easy to use interface with statistics on each blog to include Google page rank and an automated system to make purchasing your ad spots a breeze.

I have bought several different ad spaces myself within the last month and as a result have increased my readership on my personal websites as well as making some extra money at the same time.  Your statistics and ad inventory are available to you around the clock.  This targeted system is the best I’ve seen.  How many of us have bought advertising that generated absolutely nothing for our particular interests?  With the Today.com targeted ad system your targeted ads will be seen by thousands per month.  I know this to be true from personal experience.

Blogs have become an integral part of the Internet and are growing everyday.  My personal website which I have had for years never generated much traffic.  Since I bought ad space for my website on a Today.com blog my unique visits have skyrocketed.  This ad package works and works well.  So, give it a try today. Creativity With Photos

You all know by now that I am obsessed when it comes to taking photos.  I carry my camera everywhere.  I once stopped in the middle of a sidewalk at a bus stop to take photos of leaves on the street because I had an idea for a poem.  People were looking at me like I was nuts.  You never know when you will see something that sparks an idea.

In the beginning I had all of my photos with Yahoo until they decided to discontinue their service.  I didn’t like the layout on Flickr so I researched for photo hosting services and found that I really liked what PhotoWorks had to offer.

One key issue for me was being able to upload the photos and not have to keep them on my computer because I had a very small amount of room available on my hard drive.  So, I used PhotoWorks and when I need to download one of my photos back to my computer, I do it with a one click process.  It’s very handy.

I don’t just store photos in photo books or boxes.  I like to be creative with them.  My favorite way to do this is to create a photo book with PhotoWorks.   It is such an easy process that anyone can do it.   They have several styles and sizes available at various price points.  You simply use any of the photos in your PhotoWorks album and use a drag and drop system to create your book. There is an easy step by step guide to take you through the process.  You can even add text on the pages if you like.  I have made several of these for friends as gifts.  They’re great because it is something you created yourself and is elegantly displayed in a book filled with glossy pages of your own photos.

I’ve created several books of the Botanical Gardens here in San Francisco as well as Ocean Beach.  I think one of the Golden Gate Bridge is in order.

The San Francisco Chronicle

6696496_600x338.jpg

Well it’s difficult to report but The San Francisco Chronicle has been hit by the economic hardships which have been plaguing our country.  Layoffs and cuts are eminent with a proposal to cut up to 500 editorial positions.  They are losing money for many reasons to include the fact that many people are simply getting the news they want by visiting the SFGate website which is owned by the Chronicle.  They are also feeling the pinch by advertisers who can get free advertising with Craigslist rather than having to pay with the Newspaper.

Now it seems a very simple solution.  If people are getting their news from SFgate which is owned by the same entity, then simply take down the website and people will go back to reading the Chronicle.  Or, make the website a subscription type ezine.  Only allow subscribers on the website. Why lay off hundreds of people?

As far as advertising they obviously cannot compete with a free service like Craigslist but they should look into some incentives for regular advertisers.  Craigslist now charges for some business advertising so if the Chronicle could come up with a competitive plan equal to that of Craigslist they would attract more advertisers.

There are many approaches to this dilemna.  With the unemployment rate at over 8% in San Francisco alone, if they have to make cuts with their employees just reduce their hours.  They can put some of their employees on a part time basis or allow them to telecommute.  There has got to be an alternative to cuts and layoffs.

My question is when there are tough economic times why is it that the first idea these businesses have is to cut jobs?  Think out of the box people.  Your thoughts?
